Membership
Membership shall be open to both student, graduate library technicians, retired and/or unemployed graduate library technicians.
Associates, institutions, organizations, and corporations, who, upon payment of annual dues, will become members.
Any individual complying with the requirements outlined above shall be considered a member in good standing. These individuals will be able to vote at meetings, and becomes members of the Executive Board.

Full Membership
Full membership will be given to a graduate library technician from a Library & Information Technician Program that meets the requirements established by the Canadian Library Association (Adopted by the Canadian Federation of Library Associations, 2016).
Student Membership
Student membership will be given to a student enrolled in a Library & Information Technician Program for a 2 year limit. After that time, he/she is asked to pay graduate fees and is granted full membership.
Retired and/or Unemployed
Full membership will be given to retired or unemployed graduate library technicians.
Associate Membership
Associate membership will be given to an individual who supports the objectives of the Association. At the end of 5 consecutive years, if he/she wishes to pay graduate fees, he/she will be granted full membership.
Group Membership
Group membership will be given to an institution/organization/corporation with a minimum of 2 people and no maximum. Each of the members within the group will receive the benefits of an individual member.

Chapter Membership
Members may also wish to join one of the Chapters. They will become chapter members, upon payment of annual dues. The four current Chapters are:
- Halton-Peel Chapter
- Ottawa Chapter/Section d'Ottawa
- School Chapter
- Toronto Chapter
Each Chapter is run by an Executive Team of a minimum of 3 members (President, Treasurer, Secretary). The Chapter Coordinator is the Chapter's liaison to the Board of Directors.
