Register for the 2024 Special Conference Meeting
The Special Conference Meeting of the Ontario Association of Library Technicians/Association des bibliotechniciens de l’Ontario will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 12:00pm remotely via Zoom.
The topic of this special meeting will be to discuss changes and amendments to the Association’s Constitution and By-laws as required by the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Business Corporation Act.
We encourage you, as valued members to attend this special conference to review and discuss these changes and to connect with us via email to let us know your thoughts whether or not you are able to attend the conference.
No decisions will take place at this special conference; however, an association wide ballot will begin the next day for 30 days. The Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the returned ballots sent to the entire voting membership.
Members in good standing, who are unable to attend the meeting in person may by means of proxy appoint a proxyholder, or one or more alternative proxyholders, who need not be members, as the member’s nominee to attend and act at the meeting in the manner, to the extent and with the authority conferred by the proxy . A member wishing to appoint by proxy, a proxyholder(s) are required to complete the following form, signing and dating it, and giving it to the proxyholder to return to the Chair of the Meeting, the President of the Association, prior to the call for order on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Proxy forms must be sent via email before Saturday, September 14, 2024 to info@oaltabo.on.ca.
